Eleven of our young Blaydon athletes competed in the North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) on Sunday 25 June 2023. Our team, which includes Gosforth and Wallsend athletes, got its highest score of the season so far.
Dan Ramshaw and Ava Adamson both made their NEYDL debuts.
Aaron Jobson won the U13 hurdles, came second in the long jump , and third in the 200m.
Aliyah Agbaje won the U15 hurdles.
Joseph Ramshaw won the U15 100m, 200m and narrowly missed out on the win in his first ever 1,500m.
James Gray came second in the 1500m.
Aaron Jobson and Dan Ramshaw won the U13 boys relay in a team with two athletes from Gosforth.
Aliyah Agbaje and Neive McCreedy won the U15 girls relay in a team with two athletes from Gosforth.
We are equally proud of our other athletes, Pav Sanghera, Sophie Hogan, Reece Bowlby and Isla Murray, who all represented their Club, but did not win their events on this occasion, but did pick up crucial points for the team.
Well done everyone!
