Cross Country Wrekenton

The curtain was brought down on this years cross country at Wrekenton today where 21 Blaydon Harriers lined up.

First off as usual were our 2 u/11s Alex Wallace and Olivia McCormick. In the u/13 girls our only runners were Emily Walters and Brenna Orr both running from the fast pack.

As usual the very solid u/15 boys team did well, led home in 4th place by Tom Rutherford, closely followed by Jack Bowden, Luke Shears and Daniel Buffham. These are the most successful team on the cross country for Blaydon finishing overall 3rd team in the season.

A very promising debut for the club by Beth Fraser leading home the U/15 girls team in 4th place with Rachel Curry and Innes Orr following her home, Innes from the fast pack.

The most successful team of the day , the senior ladies. A fantastic run from Eleanor Bradbury in 8th place, Eleanor was running from the medium pack and has earned herself a promotion to the fast pack. The best run of the day, followed by Laura Kinkaid 29th just missing out on promotion to the medium pack, Gillian Pearson, Lynne Mitchelson and Jo Edwards. The ladies team won their group today.

There were 5 runners for the Senior Men, Alex Muir was first home followed by Paddy Garaghan, Eric Lewis, Liam Friel and fifth home was sprint coach Simon Evans.
