46 Blaydon Harriers turned out at a very muddy and demanding course at Thornley Hall Farm. U11 boys Joseph Ramshaw, Robert Atkinson and Tom Wallace. U11 girls Hazel Richardson 6th, Ellie Fellows 9th and Katie Robinson. U13 boys were led home by Will Collinson running from the fast pack and finishing individual 4th. Alex Wallace had without doubt his best race of the season finishing 9th and is promoted to the fast pack. James Leath was the final Blaydon runner home. Two Blaydon debutants in the U13 girls Erica Mould and Leila Parker. Two debutants in the U15 boys also, Luke Todd 6th and is promoted to the fast pack and Callum Trainer. Rosa Edwards was 9th in the U15 girls followed by Jessica Levy running from the fast pack. Beth Fraser was our only U17 lady and Luke Shears and Daniel Buffham the U17 men. Three teams of senior ladies led home by Gillian Hauxwell, Claire Collinson running from the medium pack, Izzy Jackson and Joanne Ramshaw also from the fast pack. Deborah Collins, Rachel Grant, Jo Edwards and Nicola Perry. Then came Nicola Alderson, Doreen Craig, Tracey Bowers and Mandy Robinson. It was brilliant to see 16 senior men lining up who were led home in 7th place by debutant Matthew Aymard closely followed by Andrew Alderson in 8th place making his cross country debut and another cross country first timer Nick Stevenson in 11th all three are promoted to the medium pack. Next in was Alex Muir who is now promoted to the fast pack, then medium packer Peter Hodgson and David Garner made up the A team. Next home was fast packer Matthew Alderson, medium packers Hedley Fletcher, James Dias, James Ramshaw, Ian Brooks and Daniel Matfin. Lee Pattinson, Phil Jobson, Eric Lewis and Simon Evans. By my calculations the Senior Women finished 3rd team and are now second in the league with 20 points, six ahead of Sunderland Strollers. The senior men finished 1st with 32 points and the B team were 3rd overall with 171 points. These results are still to be confirmed by the league, if they are correct the Senior Men will, be top of the league with 9 points from Low Fell 12 and Houghton 13.
