The Quayside 5k and Junior 3k was held on 13 August 2023. Hosted by Gateshead Harriers & AC, the flat, out and back course along the Newcastle-Gateshead Quayside offers the opportunity to go for a personal best.
A Race
Blaydon athletes were led by Martin Graham (17:14), followed by Robb Young (17:21) who reaped the benefits of hard work at club track sessions, with a well deserved PB.
A huge well done to Emma Cartwright on her sub 20 PB (19:15) and Letha Whitman 19:36, a prize winner in 5th V35.
B Race
Neil Fellows 19:37, had a great return to racing, finishing 2nd in the V45 male category. Chris Ashall finished in 20:18, another PB, showing there’s still some speed in those long Ironman legs.
