Hosted by Elswick Harriers, the Norman Woodcock Relays, utilises the ambulance road inside Gosforth Race Course. The race is a mixed team relay, taking in three, 1.66 mile laps of the ‘track’.
The race has had many famous winners including Brendan Foster, Steve Cram, Paul Davies-Hale, and Mike McLeod.
Blaydon fielded six teams this year, with the first finishing tenth out of the 85 teams that took part.
