Cross country season is back, with the first NEHL fixture of the season at Thornley Hall Farm, Peterlee, on 28 September 2024. The athletes hit lucky with the weather for this challenging course.
Well done to everyone who ran, especially those who gave it a go for the first time. The Club was delighted with the turnout, particularly our Juniors, who all demonstrated sheer determination, courage, and resilience to show up on the start line and run their very best. Fantastic running from everyone who took part.

The vibe of cross country is very different from road racing and track and field, with a much slower pace on a mixture of trail and grass. Most importantly it’s about giving it a go, enjoying the experience and scoring some points for the club no matter where you finish.
