Hello my name is Andrea Clarke, Junior Endurance coach for Blaydon Harriers.
Tuesday endurance training is usually on the track, sometimes we’ll do hills, and occasionally use nearby paths and tracks for a change in the summer. The track is a great place to start or build experience - I can easily adjust sessions according to ability, and no one can get lost! There’s a lovely camaraderie in the group and it’s great to see so much hard work and talent out on the track.
I’m experienced in taking Senior groups, which helps when Juniors are ready to progress within the club. Personally I’ve enjoyed everything from relays to fell running; currently it’s Triathlons and Parkrun! Meeting enthusiastic and confident Juniors doing the same events is an added bonus, even if they are speeding past!
