It's been a busy weekend with members running in marathon events around the country. Letha Whitham and Elaine Small competed in the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 2 October 2022. Her first marathon since giving birth, Letha finished in an amazing 3:29:21 and Elaine completed her fifth marathon, and fourth Good for age London Marathon, in 3:36:52.
Roselle Oberholzer completed the Chester Marathon, her first, in homage to turning 60, in an impressive 3:17:29. Finishing as 30th female overall and the 1st V60 female.
Junior Ellie Fellows was selected to represent the North East at the 2022 TCS Mini London Marathon championships, which gave the UK’s most promising young athletes the chance to compete against the best new talent in British road running. Held on Saturday 1 October 2022, Ellie completed the 2.6k race in 00:09:34.
Ellie also competed at the 2.5k Junior Race at Kielder Marathon on Sunday, finishing 1st female and 3rd overall, an excellent result.
