30 Blaydon Harriers turned out on a very long Herrington Park course today, the best attended Harrier League this season. Joseph Lonnergan and Tom Wallace started off the proceedings, Joseph another top ten finisher. Four U/13 boys. Will Collinson, Sam Gill, James Leath and Alex Wallace. Fantastic performance from Will, 10th place from the fast pack.… Only two U/13 girls, Cecilia Reid running in the fast pack and Olivia Mcormick. As usual our three U/15 boys were Daniel Buffham, Luke Shears and Tom Rutherford. All fast pack runners. U/15 girls led home by Brenna Orr, then Abbie Lewis from the fast pack, Jessica Levy making debut for the club and the ever present Emily Walters. Our only U/17 man, Jack Boden stormed through to 9th place from the fast pack. Beth Fraser and Emily Gill were our U/17 ladies. Only two senior women, Laura Kincaid and Deborah Collins who made her cross country debut for the club. The senior men were today’s stars, ten lined up. Hedley Fletcher was 12th and moves from the slow pack to the medium pack followed in by Alan Armstrong, Matthew Alderson, Daniel Flint, Simon Evans, Jonathan Stephens, Lee Pattinson, Phil Jobson and Eric Lewis. The men’s team gained 2nd position and with only Hedley going into the next pack there’s no reason why they can’t do it again. See you all at Thornley Hall Farm on 11th February.
