Well done to our lads and lasses who competed in the Gateshead Business Forum 5K on Newcastle Quayside on Wednesday evening, 23rd August 2017.
A great turn out with eleven of our senior women running with fantastic results. The ladies smashed PBs and achieved new sub 30 min times. Well done lasses!
Four senior men competed, also achieving some new PBs and an exceptional 5th place in the Men’s Team competition for Andrew, Matthew, Peter and Jack. Fantastic racing lads!
Also, a mention to Rachel who is seen in one of the pics supporting the girls in her Ultra GB 200 tee shirt!
Rachel always strives to succeed in all kinds of running events from 5K road races to 200mile Ultras. She’s doubled her previous longest ultra distance and achieved a staggering 143 mile before having to pull out due to injury. The mental strength of this girl is awesome and I’m sure she’ll be back in 2018 to smash some more ultra goals! Well done Rachel!
