Robert Atkinson, Jacob Richards and Jamie Lonergan were the only Blaydon team to compete in the NECAA Cross Country Relays held at Thornley Hall Farm on 15 October. The under 15 boys’ team finished fifth in a close team event, missing out on a medal by 23 seconds and fourth place by one second.
The Essity Prudhoe Miners Race 2022 took place on 16 October 2022. Luke Page took second place in the junior race. Will Collinson, John Taylor and Aidan Macdermott competed in the senior race, with Will finishing in the top 10, in seventh place.
Also on 16 October, Paul Young ran in the Wild Deer Events Hadrians Wall Half Marathon shortly after a brief stay in hospital! Nicola Alderson was in Amsterdam running the half marathon.
