Twenty seven Blaydon Harriers competed in the spring like weather, at Temple Park South Shields.
Two u/11s Alex Wallace in the boys and Olivia Mc cormick, in the girls, Olivia getting up to 13th place.
The u/13 girls team was Emily Walters, Francesca Recchia, Ella Richardson and Rosa Edwards. Fran and Ella making their debut for the club in the cross country league.
Jack Boaden, Luke Shears, Daniel Buffham and Tom Rutherford are turning out to be an excellent u/15 boys team, never far apart in races, keep it up lads.
As usual Georgia Briggs, Innes Orr and Racheal Curry were our u/15 Girls team. Three people who we can rely on to turn out week after week, race after race, more juniors required like these.
Only two senior men and one vet man, due to the York Marathon, on Sunday. Isaac Dunn and Alex Muir, Alan Armstrong the vet man.
The stars of the show were the senior and veteran women, a superb turn-out of eleven Blaydon ladies. Liane Brown, Laura Kinkaid, Gillian Pearson, Lynne Michelson, Jo Edwards, Gemma Scott ,Tracy Bowers, Marie Bottomley, Jean Brown, Jeanette Geldart and Kirsteen McCormick. They all celebrated after the race with chocolate cake and rice crispy buns.
Next Harrier League 21st November at Aykley Heads, Durham.
Chopwell woods training will resume next Sunday for the juniors and anyone else who would like to turn up, 11 o clock, main car park.
