Thursday 25 July 2024, saw a change to the usual training session, with our Club 5K Handicap at Newburn Business Park. The 5K brings together Senior and Junior athletes for an evening of friendly competition and personal bests.
The handicap format adds a fun twist, with staggered start times based on each runner’s previous performances, it's a race against the clock – and each other! It's brilliant to see everyone giving their all, whether they are seasoned runners or our promising juniors.
Well done to everyone who took part, whether you smashed your personal best or just enjoyed the run. It’s events like these that remind us what makes our Club so special – the sense of community, the encouragement, and the shared love of running.
We’re already looking forward to the next one! Until then, keep training hard and enjoying every run.
