A massive well done to Roselle Oberholzer and Elaine Small who completed the hot and hilly Chester Marathon on 8 October 2023.
Starting from the historic Roman and Medieval city of Chester, the PB marathon course takes place on closed roads covering 19 miles in England and 7 miles in Wales. Runners pass all of Chester’s iconic landmarks before heading out to the stunning Cheshire and North Wales countryside and villages; returning alongside the River Dee for a unforgettable finish on Castle Drive.
Chester Marathon is the UK’s only international marathon, and hosts the England Athletics Age Group Masters Marathon Championship. Congratulations to Roselle who represented England and won the British Masters FV60 silver medal and to Elaine who ran a sub 3:30.
