A group of Blaydon Harriers took on the Bridges of the Tyne 5 mile race on Tuesday 4 July 2023. This hugely popular race hosted by Tyne Bridge Harriers is a fast, mainly flat, out and back 5 mile course along the quayside passing the iconic bridges of the Tyne.
Despite fighting through Quayside traffic and the threat of rain in the air, the Bees took off in force along the riverside path, starting at the Pitcher and Piano, turning at Newcastle Business Park and finishing at the Tyne Bar.
There were great performances from all five athletes, and thanks to Tyne Bridge Harriers for a great event as usual.
