The inaugural Blaydon Harrier Night of the PBs was held on Thursday 18 July 2024 and what a fantastic turnout we had, with Senior, Junior Endurance, Hurdles, Sprints and Induction group athletes all coming together for a night of friendly competition. It was great to see so many family and friends spectating from the side-lines too.
The evening's events began with mile races, starting with the Induction group, a Senior and Junior mixed race and a Senior race for those aiming for under 7 minutes. King and Queen of the mile were Kevin Findlay and Roselle Oberholzer 👑.
Then came the shorter distances, with the Induction group competing over 60m and the Junior and Senior athletes competing over 100m.
The last races of the evening were mixed 4 x 100m relays, with athletes of all ages running in teams together.
There were plenty of PBs and lots of medals won, but the highlight of the evening was seeing so many members taking part and having fun!
