Eight of our junior harriers turned out on a bright but cold day in Shildon to compete in the annual Anne Marie Readshaw Memorial event. This was a step up to a new age group for many of the athletes and first competition for others.
Aaron Lillistone, Alex Wallace and Will Batey competed in a mix of sprint and field events for the under 13’s with Alex and Will competing in their first year of junior track competition.
Ellie Shears having moved up to the U15’s competed in the 100m sprint and Luke Shears took on his first 3000m earning a well-deserved 3rd place.
Hannah and Molly Holliday along with Jack Lillistone all competed in the U17’s group for the first time.
Some great performances, hard earned medals and quite a few PBs were achieved.
Well done to all that took part.
