The Blaydon lasses were out in force last night for the Anita Nott Memorial Race. It was a beautiful summer's evening for the undulating 5k run through Jesmond Dene, Armstrong Park and Heaton Park.
The 2023 race took place on Monday 26 June 2023 starting on Armstrong Bridge at 19:30. The winner was Shona Haston from Gateshead Harriers in a time of 18:05.
A special mention goes to Letha Whitham for finishing 3rd V35 female and Doreen Craig for finishing 2nd in her age category (V70).
The lasses made the most of the summer's evening, with a picnic in the Dene, with plenty of delicious homemade brownies from Alison Richards and Doreen’s fruit salad surprise, washed down nicely with some Prosecco.
